Malaysia, located in Southeast Asia, encompasses the Malay Peninsula and the northern part of Borneo. It shares borders with Thailand, Singapore, Brunei, and Indonesia. The capital, Kuala Lumpur, is a vibrant metropolis home to 8.4 million people. Malaysia enjoys an equatorial climate, with monsoon seasons from April to October and from October to February. On Borneo, Mount Kinabalu rises as the country’s highest peak at 4,101 meters. The best time to visit is between March and October, when rainfall is less intense.
