Colombia
Colombia, in north-western South America, has coastlines on both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. It is the fourth largest country on the continent, home to around 49.5 million people. Bogotá, Medellín and Cali are its largest cities. A tropical climate prevails, although the Andean region is cooler. The best time to visit is from December to March. Spanish is the official language. Colombia is famous for its varied landscapes, from the Andes to the Amazon rainforest.
